Plot summary

When her girlfriend disappears mid-road trip, sardonic prop master Kasey is left stranded in a California backwater. Panicked, she hitches a ride with cash-strapped actor Alan on his trek to an audition in Canada. Together, the unlikely duo dodges Reno psychics, stale corn nuts, and border security on a quest to find a missing soulmate and maybe validation.

I loved going along on this ride, a

I loved going along on this ride, a soothing blend of classic road trip tropes with its own distinct vibe. The odd couple characters have true evolving chemistry and you will laugh. This movie oozes style without shouting STYLE. Our city heroes' quests brings them to places and characters that paint an authentic funky rural America. Enjoy this memorable trip.

This indie debut by auteur writer-director Laramie Dennis is a pure delight. Witty dialogue- the tone is knowing but not jaded- and stunning scenery combine with a hypnotic score to evoke a nostalgia for an America before the pandemic cast a pall over man and nature. The brilliant casting and creative energy in this film are reminders that there is hope for humanity in humor and human connection.
