This is a solid teen body-horror, with a great way of conveying its message, lovely twists and engaging characters. The directing is outstanding, the casting on point and the effects understated and working really well. It might lack some of the shock of something like The Substance, but it is a worthy inclusion into your body-horror watchlist, certainly.

Really well filmed so far. Has the underlying tension of a thriller which I enjoy. The Asian parents are funny too. Oh man this movie is hilarious, should be a 80-90%. There must be political reasons why people didn't like this.

A very weird film that seems to want

A very weird film that seems to want to capture some of the craziness and shock factor of "The Substance", but fails to do so. It seemed to want to present a message of prejudice and stereotyping, but fumbled a bit with that too. I also found the ending to be quite confusing.
