Waste of time, story could have been much better!

I just recently watched this movie. Writing was weak. Didn't think too much of the movie tbh, predictable, washed down plot, with a scene at the end where the MC is about to lose but suddenly pulls one out of the hat. It was hard to watch the whole thing. Guy has some weird creepy relationship with his mother. I only finished it because of how poorly the different plot points come together in the most rushed, ridiculous and completely unrealistic fashion that it became funny. If DC ever makes a Wildcat movie Eckhart would be my first pick, he would also be amazing as Sam fisher or Gi Joe. The movie is so weak and bad sorry.

Big Momma

Plot Spoilers. Jack Boucher (Aaron Eckhart) is normally pronounced "butcher" because he is a bare-knuckles fighter for cash. He makes money by both winning and throwing fights. Some love him while others don't. We see him left at the doorsteps of St. Joe's as a child. He loves his ailing foster mother very much and her home has been in foreclosure throughout the entire film. Jack takes his winnings and plays red-black on the roulette table and manages to get enough money to pay off Big Momma (Marianne Jean-Baptiste). He loses the money on the way and a Bella Thorne who plays a tattoo carny finds his wad of money. She is looking to find out who her real father is. Have you got the happy "Silas Marner" ending yet?

I will say Aaron went out of his way to play a partially brain-dead drinker/smoker/fighter/gambler. He did it well. The film has flashbacks. I am not sure why. It was one of those films that you knew what was coming and you were bored along the way until the film got there.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

amazing performance from Eckhart

Jack Boucher (Aaron Eckhart) is a bare knuckle fighter struggling with hallucinations after years of underground fights. He gets kidnapped by a lowlife for his large debt to Big Momma Sweet (Marianne Jean-Baptiste). He manages to crash the truck and escape. A traveling carnival happens upon the crash site. Annette (Bella Thorne) is the tattooed erotica lady.

This is an amazing performance from Eckhart. The plot is a bit of a mess. I put half of it to the unstable mind of Jack Boucher. The other half is still a mess. There is some good atmosphere, but the plot construction is wrong. I actually watched this and Michael Farris Smith's other movie Desperation Road back to back. There is a connecting style between the two gothic southern crime drama. I like the style, but this writing is not good enough.
