I watched this as a huge Milla Jovovich

I watched this as a huge Milla Jovovich fan. She steals every scene she is in but unfortunately when she is off camera you are met with some of the worst amateur acting and dialogue. Couldnt finish it. The story does a weird fast forward and expects you to care about its sudden setting and characters. I really want to see Milla do quality movies again.

Protector (2026) is one of those films that

Protector (2026) is one of those films that expects you to switch your brain off completely—and even then it’s a stretch. The plot is paper-thin, the dialogue is unintentionally funny, and the action quickly becomes repetitive. Every scene plays out the same way: she walks in, takes everyone out with ease, and moves on. After a while, there’s zero tension because you know exactly how it’s going to go. Milla Jovovich gives it her all physically, but she’s starting to feel seriously typecast. At this point, her roles are becoming as predictable as Arnold Schwarzenegger in The Terminator—the same tough, unstoppable character with very little depth or variation, a movie to sleep through because when you wake up, it will be the same. The film clearly wants to be gritty and intense, but it just comes off as lazy and over-the-top. If you’ve seen one revenge action film, you’ve basically seen this. Nothing new, nothing believable, and not nearly as entertaining as it thinks it is.
