Not good, and my expectations were already low

Not good, and my expectations were already low before watching. Too boring, too staged, and highly predictable. Good cast on paper. But in reality, Perkins was too stiff, not much chemistry between him and Hepburn. Made worse by her then-husband Ferrer being the director. Even Audrey's presence in the movie wasn't enough to stop me from falling asleep from boredom 10 mins before the ending. Only positive I can think of is the lush jungle setting. It's a highly forgettable weird film.

Perkins has a beautiful singing voice! And Hepburn

Perkins has a beautiful singing voice! And Hepburn makes anything worth watching. But I'm not sure why so many of the scenes are studio sets when they shot on location. With the casting, story and location it could have been a richer picture.

This movie was beautiful and otherworldly. It had me hovering above myself, viewing myself perched atop a precipice overlooking a magnificent waterfall. I was transported through a magical tunnel lined with silk plants, sphagnum moss and paper mache cliffs. Also, I had just taken ayahuasca for the first time about 90 minutes before watching it.
