The writers and director seem to have gone all out to push their hatred of Austrailian immigration policy into a movie.
So many opportunities missed here, its a complex, difficult, contradictory set of issues and circumstances...in the real world things are not this simplistic.
Two Kurdish 'victims' of very nasty authorities manage to travel across the world without passports and collect lots of tacky, expensive designer gear along the way. Happily oblivious to claiming asylum anywhere they go. Just being nice to everyone and living without money. The very nasty authorities lock em up.
Liberation and art, the humanities with a zen outlook on tolerance await in welcoming Aus.
I'm just not convinced, sympathetic or bothered by this candy coated fairy tale of obvious other agenda, might work with 3 year olds?

Well i've seen many great TV documentaries about refugees but this one is more like fake propaganda then real struggle for real life they could have. It all look like premade narrative to make all more believable but in the end it can't convince viever. Its hard to watch it as instead of how sad stuff is going on there people may focus more of how it try to push vievers opion too hard. I think producer should implement also opinion of other side to make in more real. All in all i belive the potential of this kind of movies is wasted here. Also i think they should. After watching this i felt like my emotions were not directed enough with main characters nor towards Australians' government. Its like you watch it and forget.
