the root of evil

This film is sort of a mix of the events of what greed does and at the say time mixing with a crime dynamic. Two bank workers, one who has a child to get into school and medical bills with a wife that does nothing, and the other whos trying to help a boy whos father died and was in debt. They find a bank account from a deceased woman and try to take the money out for themselves as nobody will know it exists, but unfortunatly there is someone that wants it. I liked this movie and it was a decent crime thriller, characters were not overlly likeable apart from about one of them and overall it was good.

What an awful story! Miserable people, all of them! When I finished watching I scolded myself for watching it. Yet, once I started watching...I could not stop.It is like an accident that you cannot help but look and then you wish you didn't. That is a sign of a good movie.Warning: Do not watch this before bedtime.

City of Quiet Desperation

Too real for comfort - a darkly sarcastic portrait of a middle-aged man suffocating in the big city grind. He chases success, pays obscene tuition for his kid's international school, and smiles through the slow collapse of his own sanity. The film peels back the glossy surface of urban ambition to reveal the quiet despair underneath - the debt, the pressure, the moral erosion. It's sharp, stylish, and disturbingly relatable. You laugh at first, then realize you're laughing at yourself. A modern tragedy disguised as satire - haunting, brilliant, and uncomfortably close to the truth.
