Plot summary

Ned is in the throes of a mid-life crisis. His work as a writer on an outrageous, semi-pornographic TV show is less than satisfying. His fifteen year old son has just told him he is gay and his eleven year old is afraid of, well pretty much everything. When his wife, Jeannie, moves her sick and embittered father from Detroit into their home in NY, it puts added stress on an already strained marriage. And when a sexy female co-worker puts the moves on Ned, the temptation sends him spiraling.

It's not really interesting or have something really good here, even my dear Ezra Miller, who is always amazing at what he does, can make it worth.

Considering the cast it should have been a lot better, but instead it gets too meta and ends up being very Every Day and predictable. Will the man married to a woman dealing with so much she doesn't have the emotional energy to make love to him end up fucking the young, hot thing at work? Of course. Will the cranky, sick father and long put upon daughter reconcile just in time for him to die? Definitely. Will the teenager discovering himself push boundaries a little too far and wind up realising his parents were right and he's not quite as grown up as he thought? You betcha. Did I ruin the film for you? No. You know all this will happen already 2 minutes after it starts. I did enjoy Brian Dennehy as the cranky Dad who stopped trying to be a father to one child after his other child dies tragically and is dealing with his own mortality. I hated Liev Schreiber's character straight off because he wasn't accepting of his son being gay. You can't come back from that for me. Big meh.
