Plot summary

A lighthearted comedy about a group of illegal immigrants living in the City of Birmingham trying to better their lives. Chal Mera Putt explores the struggles they face, the lasting friendships they make and the challenges they overcome all whilst trying to get their PR.

I was told to watch this as it

I was told to watch this as it was a U.K. made punjabi movie. It was ok in parts but there's still so much naivety and cringeworthy moments in terms of the filmmaking, the script and the soundtrack (which is laughable and sounds as though it was thrown together with no effort or dramatic knowledge whatsoever) which take away from the overall message of the movie. It could have been so much better but is ruined by cliches and a lot of awful acting (with a few exceptions). The overdubbed ‘English' actors for one are hilarious for all the wrong reasons. Had my hopes up for this and was bitterly disappointed.
