Plot summary

When a pregnant woman is bequeathed a home from an estranged aunt, she and her girlfriend leave the city behind to begin new chapter. But when a karmic debt threatens the life of their unborn child, they soon discover their place in the cursed history of the town.

After inheriting a secluded house, a pregnant woman and her girlfriend leave city life to begin a new chapter with their first child. The couple soon realizes their future as a family is at risk of being engulfed by a generational curse threatening their unborn child. "Birthrite" is a horror movie that explores the anxieties of motherhood and the mental exhaustion that often accompanies first-time mothers. The narrative embodies all the clichés of folk and pagan horror themes, unveiling the movie's mystery too early to the point of removing any element of surprise. Only the committed performances from the lead actresses save the movie from being a dull experience!

Could have been a good devil-baby horror movie

Could have been a good devil-baby horror movie but it wasn’t. It really could have been better and more interesting but was written the opposite of that. Not scary at all
