Plot summary

MMA legend Patton James, now a commercial fisherman, is pulled back into the cage when his brother is in danger. Reuniting with his old coach Sammy, he commits to one final fight in one championship against the brutal champion Xavier Grau.

Overall, Beast had the ingredients to be much

Overall, Beast had the ingredients to be much better: strong actors, a gritty setting, good fight choreography and a compelling central rivalry. But it needed fewer characters, fewer distracting subplots and much more development for Xavier, Sammy and the central conflict. The action is worth watching, especially whenever Foster is onscreen, but the film would have benefited from trusting its strongest characters and simplifying the story around them.

Absolutely bloody terrible - acting was shite, casting was horrible and the script was awful. WTAF happened to Russell Crowe?

This was one of the most awful movies

This was one of the most awful movies I’ve ever watched. The script was almost comical. Have no idea how so many big names agreed to be apart of this rubbish.
